Girly things.

Friday, January 27, 2012
Lately there has been a good amount of projects going on, and some delicious dinner making.
These things have filled up most of my free time, fill that in with lots of time with friends and family.
Yep, it's been a good week.

I just thought I'd pop in and share with ya a few things from the week that I am totally loving.

I'm currently obsessed with my lacey Steve Madden bag. I get compliments on it like 5.24 million times a day. Little do most people know that I bought it at Ross.

I've had my eye on these window panels for a while but they were a little pricey. I was so excited when I saw them this week on clearance. I swooped them right up.

Our house has amazing lighting due to the big gorgeous windows. When we moved in there were yucky  brown panels on and I just changed them out to lace. I love. They make the front room so much brighter!

On the same Target trip I picked up this sparkle polish by Essie. Uhm, totally amazing!

And last but certainly not least... these lace poufs from my shop. I love them! You should totally pick one up today :).

Can you tell I have a current obsession with all things lacey, frilly, ruffled, and girly?

Well here I am... out of slackerville & back on the bandwagon.
Moving is crazy! Throw in seasons changing and it's like WHOA!
Okay so here it goes... lots of pictures I'm warning you!

Wildflowers on the drive to my house. Oh how I love them! Sure beats the gas stations & fast food restaurants I used to pass on my drive home.

We spent some time exploring our new hood. We love it out here! Turns out we were country folks & we didn't even know it!

We love Target! Ps- I totally didn't mean to match her to the shopping cart... it's kinda funny though.

She wants to walk so. bad. She just doesn't have the balance yet... but she's getting so  much better! Oh gees, I can wait to have a walking baby!

Our house has lots of tile so new slippers were definitely in order. I love a good pair of slippers.

I started stenciling my YELLOW desk in the inlays on the top... It's still not finished btw. I'm lazy.

Baby Grace was our little s'more for halloween. It was pretty much the cutest thing ever. Ps- I made this costume. It was a cinch. It's hanging in her closet and I seriously look at it and smile every day. I'm a little crazy I know.

We went to Ikea again. 4 hours later-- we left! Seriously! I lose all track of time in that store! What's with that?!

I'm including this picture because it is a great depiction of my daughter. Whenever we are in public she is susie nosey pants. She seriously stares people down until they become her friend. It makes me laugh.

On Halloween I made jalepeno poppers. They were really good! Except I didn't wear gloves and 4 hours later my hands were burning. Milk is the only thing that helped.

I made these this week and I love them. Seriously. Oh yeah, they're for sale in my shop too! Whoo hoo!

Gracie and I love to lay on the couc and watch some good reality TV. Haha just kidding... HGTV all the way! Or Ellen of course.

Man my purse is out of control! I remember the days when my purse was full of MY stuff. Dont'cha just love all the goodies babies come with. Lots of accessories for sure! Haha.

Our life has been a little crazy with the move, trying to get my shop off the ground, and everything else.
I promise I will get my shop stocked soon... but there are some things listed in there :) go take a look!

I will be linking this up here. Come join the fun!

{Insta} Friday. Our cuhrazy last week.

I am SO stoked to be back my friends.
I missed this bloggy world, and all you bloggy friends of mine.
We are all moved in and nearly settled in our new home in Arizona.
We are lovin' our new hood. As soon as we pulled up with our U-haul there was immediately all these neighbors around to unpack it. This neighborhood is so great! There are kids playing in the streets, and people wave to each other! Imagine that. Being the Las Vegan that I am- I still kinda look at them weird when I get a wave driving down the street. I'm still adjusting. Ha ha.

Compared to where we used to live, you could say that we moved out to the country. I thought I was a city girl to the core but honestly there is just no comparison to the wildflowers, the farms, the stars, clean air, and slower pace. They are so good for my soul.

This is kind of a long post, we've had a very eventful few weeks since my last post.

Before we left Vegas we went to some of our very favorite places around town for our last hoo-rah.
Stop numero uno was our favorite sushi place that Spenc took me too on our very first date.
The babe crashed our date night, but it was okay she's too darn cute.

Strawberry mochi at said sushi place.

We also went to our very favorite Italian deli that serves the most delicious pizza [ps it's all you can eat too... can you say SCORE!]
It's kind of sad that when we were coming up with our favorite places to go to one last time they were ALL food places.
If that doesn't say something about us, I don't know what does.
These pizza slices are HUGE and THIN and perfect cheese-to-sauce-ratio.
Okay, enough about food.

We had a humungous U-haul mishap that left us stranded in a teeny town for a few hours. Let's just say that almost all our furniture was broken when we got here. Not too fun at all... but hello furniture shopping! I love all my new stuff... but I still  miss the old. Like the first couch we bought as husband and wife.

Ikea greeted us the morning after we moved with a shopping sesh &FREE breakfast. I think it's safe to say Ikea is my new home away from home. Seriously, I love it there.

I am so glad I caught grace sleeping in the car like this. I about died laughing.

The inside of my new Ikea dressers have yellow stripes. I am a little obsessed. Is it weird to show all my house visitors inside my new dresser drawers?

Packing and unpacking your whole closet opens your eyes. I realized that I have a serious lack of variation in my wardrobe. I like what I like.

Moving here I was introduced to the most wonderful phenomenon. Super Targets. All the Target goodness I love + groceries. Serious one stop shopping right there. Love it. Ps- they play rockin' music in the parking lot too.

It was about time I invest in one of these babies. Every time I walk by my closet I smile at my shoes. Now that they are all pretty organized and color coded on their own little rack, they smile back.

Moving causes gargantuan to-do lists. This number system really works though.

I have my own mom cave in this house. Coming up with ideas to make it beautiful and inspiring is one of the most fun things ever. Seriously it's going to be so pretty! This is the color scheme I came up with. I can't wait to finish it! Ps- that yellow is going to be my DESK!

I'm on a white kick. White, airy, and fresh goodness is all over this new house! White gloss spray paint is super awesome... it's probably one of my new very favorite things. Well just spray paint in general because it's such a cinch.

Last but not least, moving is a tough gig. I recommend good snacks.

I can't wait to share our new digs with you guys! & my little hand made boutique, Paddington Way is going to get off the ground here in a little too. For real this time because we are done moving for a good while. We have some exciting things ahead of us!

Hey! Hey! {Insta} Friday

Thursday, September 29, 2011
Talk about a crazy week! On Tuesday we found out that we're moving to Arizona in like... a week! How crazy is that!

So my whole schedule has been cleared for the next while getting things all prepared. I really should learn to let go and let my husband help pack-- but I'm extremely OCD about it. Everything needs to be neatly packed the way I like it, well organized, orderly, lists made on boxes.
Is that too much to ask?
Okay... I'm a little insane. Please tell me some of you are the same way?!

Anyways, so there wasn't many pictures from this week because it's been well... a little hectic.
Last weekend we went on a trip to Phoenix to find a house- well we didn't find one. But looloo loved the airplane.

I picked up this magazine, among the typical BHG and Country Living at the airport. I love Ellen. She's seriously one of the funniest people ever.

My babe's two bottom teeth have made their first appearance. She's also getting one of her two front teeth. I think it's so cute to see them little pearlies.

We went to Home Depot to get boxes. Well... it was quite a story. Read more about it here. I'm still a little traumatized.

I was at Target &totally saw this in the jammy section. The Shine Project has made it mainstream! Way to go Ashley, you've even influenced the Target designers! Ha ha.

She is so mesmerized by Sesame Street. I swear as soon as she hears the music she's a zombie. Those little muppet voices are hypnotizing to children!

My fall boots  are aching to get out. And I'm aching to wear them! Arizona is even hotter than here so there isn't much chance they're going to see daylight soon. Poor little lonely boots.

I love this time of year because I can buy my favorite drink in bulk. Yes, I buy my Sparkling Cider along with diapers in bulk.

That is all, thanks for stopping by!
If you live in the Phoenix area let me know! We can be new best friends :)!

{Insta} Friday: Take Two

Thursday, September 8, 2011
This week has been so crazy I'm a little glad it's over!
Okay, way glad.
On the up side there has been a lot of creating going on over here for the big Etsy store opening that I'm working so hard on. It's going to be good my friends. I'm going to be giving an intro to it [ hopefully ] next week and then there's going to be some BIG makeovers going on up in here! Whoo hoo!
CH- CH- Changes. Love them!

Alright, so here are some tidbits of our week:

I love these burp cloths I make.  There are SO good for baby mess & fabulous gifts.  Some luckies had new babies and got some of them this week. Like I said, luckies.

Fall may now commence because I got my fall scents from Bath&Body Works. Mmm... my house smells SO good. They have a lot of new scents like SMORES! Yep, I bought it. I haven't tried it yet- I'll let you know.

For Labor Day I packed a picnic lunch &we headed up to the mountains. It definitely poured rain and was 55 degrees-- yuck! We came home and played card games indoors.

This girl cracks me up. She fell asleep in her carseat still chewing on her teether.

I made this pillow from a stencil and I LOVE IT! I'm thinking about adding these to the shop- if my sanity can handle all that fabric measuring &cutting.

I made a new fall wreath. Check the tutorial out here.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing some of our week!
