WIW: Pink Denim

Tuesday, February 28, 2012
I love me some colored denim. Seriously, it's one of my favorite trends right now.
This pair is the perfect shade of soft blush pink, and I absolutely adore them. They are probably the most comfortable pair of pants I own too.  It's a super bonus that I am always surprised how much they match with too.

This is how I would look if you caught me on a day of errands. I am an avid fan of put together mom's on the go. Plus, I find that usually how I look directly correlates with how I feel. I can probably count on 1 hand how many times I've left the house in my pajamas.

Blouse: Old Navy, Pants: GAP, Shoes: Nordstrom BP, Bag: Ross, Necklace/Watch: Gift

WIW: It feels like spring.

Tuesday, January 31, 2012
I know saying this might make you girls who live in pretty much any other place in the United States outside of Arizona hate me but...
It really feels like spring around these parts.
It's been in the 70's here. Like high 70's.
It's been so beautiful outside, we've been enjoying lots of open windows, cool breezes, and I might even admit that we went swimming.
But don't worry you can all get me back this summer when I am cursing the  monstrous 115+ heat.

Anyways, back to my point.
With the lack of hair that I have now I find myself really self conscious about looking like a boy.
So... I have been wearing a lot of ruffles, florals, and lace.

Sweater & shirt: Marshalls, Jeggings: Kohl's, Flats: Target, Headband: PaddingtonWay.

.... nothing against being a boy... but I just don't think I'd make a good one.

ps- do you see me standing next to that chair.... I'm a miniature person. Someday I dream of growing to full size human.

I'll be linking up here and here

what I wore: those red pants

Tuesday, January 17, 2012
I haven't done a what I wore post in a long time. Like since we moved to AZ. I promise I have gotten dressed since October just always forget to document it.

My husband totally hates these red pants and my niece asked me why I was wear clown pants  when she saw me in them. Hm.

I happen to totally love them.
These boots are probably my favorite thing in my closet.

I am a layer fanatic when it comes to any clothing, especially collared shirts and striped sweaters. I wear them far too much but hey, so what!

Oh and also I put blonde in my hair. I haven't taken a photo of myself in a while. I'm hoping to avoid experiencing summer in Arizona being a brunette. Maybe it'll seem less hot if my hair is a little lighter. That's the theory I'm going with, so let the lightening begin!

Chambray Shirt: Target, Sweater: TJ Maxx, Pants: F21, Boots: Steve Madden via DSW, Necklace: American Eagle

Do you wear colored jeans? Do the men in your life protest them too? I wonder what's up with that.

Linking this outfit up here and here.

Have you entered to win my giveaway for this gorg necklace?

Hey fall, come on over!

Friday, September 2, 2011
The seasons are changing! Hus and I were coming home walking up the stairs to our house and it hit me, "HEY I'M NOT SWEATING!"
I immediately shared the good news observation with my husband. He kinda looked at me like I was crazy. I don't care, I'm still excited.

Fall is my favorite time of the year.
It's extra exciting because it leads right to my favorite DAY of the year which is Christmas.
The air changes, the leaves change { well not in Vegas }, there's SO many holidays, everyone is running around preparing special holiday goodies, and most importantly- the cute clothes start coming out!
Plus, I can make it all the way into a store without a) dripping sweat b) freezing to death.

Fall is my favorite season to dress for.  I love all the saturated colors, patterns, coats and sweaters.
Shirt, skinnies: F21. Flats: Old Navy.
&my pants are RUST not RED. Husband likes my "red" pants... &he says I'm the colorblind one.

Time to buy some fall smell good from Bath & Body Works.
Easily my FAVORITE purchase every year.

What I wore: Finding style that works.

Being a Mom has so many wonderful things about it. I love every second. It's amazing to me how natural it just was even from the very beginning. Though I have to admit, being a mom has reaked havoc on my personal style.

Once upon a time I was super stylish. I mean I was vintage before vintage was back in style. I'm not even kidding. BUT post baby let me tell you- I have so many issues.

I didn't even know how to dress my body anymore because I've been stick thin my whole life and all of a sudden I have these hips and other lady parts that used to be mesquito bites if ya know what I mean. Though I've thankfully lost my baby weight I still have the lovely "pooch" that may or may not have been mistaken for "expecting #2" the other week [ talk about the most embarrassing moment of my entire life! ] Husband says it will go away if I work out but let's be real... that doesn't happen so much as I'd like to say it does.

Not only is my body way different, but I bend, I crouch, I squat, I lift, I carry all day long, every single day of my life! It's hard on my ensembles. So my outfits not only have to be cute, but also extremely functional too. Fashionable is usually anything but functional. So it's a challenge figuring out what to wear without constantly fidgeting, pulling, adjusting, and trying not to show the entire world my unders when I'm out on errands.

Plus I'm young, so I don't want my clothes to age me.

Plus I want to be modest and not slanky.

Plus I'm five-foot-nothing tall.

Plus it's freaking hot here.

Button Up, Cropped Pants, Mustard flats: Old Navy. Belt: American Eagle. Bracelet: Lisa Leonard.

So I am going to put forth a concerted effort to dress cuter.
I may or may not document my successes and unsuccesses here.
It's my blog, I do what I want.

Today = success.
If you don't think so please don't tell me because I liked this outfit a lot.
